Last night, December 12th, Cleveland Christian Home (CCH) and Josh Cribbs teamed up for the “Shop with a Jock” event! CCH brought 50 kids from its Community-Based program to Walmart in Strongsville to shop with Cleveland Browns football players for Christmas.
“No kid should be without presents on Christmas,” Cribbs said. “We are duty-bound to give back, and not just at Christmas.”
CCH’s Development Coordinator, Maria Livers said, “This is a real self-esteem booster, and that someone so well-known cares enough to spend time with them, let alone help them with Christmas gifts… It’s more of an emotional boost than material.”
The following Browns players came to be our kids “personal shoppers” for the evening; Josh Cribbs, Mike Adams, Jordan Norwood, Benjamin Jacobs, Quinton Spears, Scott Paxson, Usama Young, Ray Ventrone, Alex Smith, Mohamed Massaquoi, Greg Little, Jayme Mitchell, Rod Winsor, T.J. Ward, Thaddeus Lewis, Auston English, Joe Haden and Carlton Mitchell.
